About Dr. Gibbons

Dr. Gibbons grew up in southern Arizona and attended the University of Arizona in Tucson. He was accepted into dental school at the University of Oregon. He earned a Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree and then joined the US Navy. After his service in the US Navy, he moved to Tucson, Arizona to practice general dentistry.

While practicing general dentistry Dr. Gibbons realized he wanted to learn more about reconstructive and aesthetic services. He went back to school and enrolled in a three-year prosthodontic residency program in Wilmington, Delaware. This program included training in prosthodontics, crowns, bridges, implants, as well as complete and partial dentures. This program also trained him in maxillofacial prosthodontics, which is the restoration of teeth and oral and facial defects for trauma and cancer patients.

After completing his prosthodontic residency training, Dr. Gibbons moved back to his home state of Arizona and opened his own prosthodontic practice in Scottsdale.

One of Phoenix's Top Dentists


Dr, Gibbons was featured in Phoenix Magazine’s list of Top Dentists for 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010. The lists were compiled based on a survey of 1,500 dentists in Phoenix. These dentists were asked to name the top practitioners in each specialty. Dr. Gibbons was named top in prosthodontics.
