Today, prosthodontists are capable of solving even the most challenging dental reconstruction problems. The purpose of reconstructive dentistry is to restore damaged or missing teeth thereby improving your dental appearance, comfort, and function.

Dr. Gibbons is highly trained in the most advanced procedures available. He also has the advantage of an on-site laboratory so that Dr. Gibbons can personally design and supervise the work.

Dentures and Partial Dentures

A prosthodontist is the only dentist with advanced and specific training in the fabrication and fitting of complete and partial dentures. Dr. Gibbons places each tooth individually to produce a natural and pleasing appearance. Teeth and denture bases are contoured to support the lips and allow for clear speech. The resulting dentures have a natural and life-like appearance.

Fixed Bridges

When teeth are missing and there are natural teeth on either side of the missing area, a traditional solution is a cemented bridge. This type of restoration has been successful for decades. Bridges are just one of several ways of replacing missing teeth. In some cases, cemented bridgework is the most beautiful and functional way to replace missing teeth.

Maxillofacial Services

Dr. Gibbons has had extensive training in the replacement of missing teeth and portions of the jaw, which may have been lost to trauma or tumors. Appliances can be made for these patients to help them speak and eat as they progress through their treatment and reconstruction.

Cancer patients require special care to maintain their teeth during and after radiation therapy.

Dr. Gibbons works with head and neck surgeons, ear, nose & throat surgeons, and oral surgeons to allow patients to live a more normal and comfortable life during their treatment.

Preventive Care

Oral cancer claims one life every hour in the U.S. Oral cancer is very curable when discovered early. Our routine examinations always begin with a careful survey of all of the oral soft tissues.

We have two full time dental hygienists. They are both well experienced and their goal is to help our patients to achieve healthy periodontal tissues and to maintain them in good health. With routine examinations and prophylaxis, most dental problems can be avoided. When problems do arise, they can be found in the early stages.
